Excellent from Giles, basically covering the points he has coming off this week. His next big drop off of points isn't until mid October, so a repeat this week (or even just making the final) could see him crack the illusive Top 500.

Er, are you sure you didn't mean "elusive", Bob?  wink

'S OK, it's a common error & nowhere near as bad as some of the howlers I see regularly in the comments sections of articles posted on Times Online, e.g. "overhall" for "overhaul" & "[Trump's] extremely decisive and polarising character"/"Trump's obvious flors"!.... (I kid you not!).

Just to give you apoplexy SC theres also the famous chester draws and the ubiquitous would of and could of which even makes me

I really had to think about the chester draws ......

Mind you, I don't really mind 'would of/could of' - I see that as more colloquial

I hate the added apsotrophes for plurals with numbers or abbreviations, like the 1960's or HMO's or whatever

Im not sure SC would agree CD, lol! And it does make my teeth itch I have to say, even though I get your point that language evolves
