Week 35/36 US Open New York Hard

Yeah poor Madison. Had her chances.

A great final lined up though.

5-2 and set point down. This is where Coco starts her comeback! Ah, if only wishful thinking worked...

Thank You seagull. I'm glad that another tennis fan is bothered to watch the final. Fantastic match.

3-0. Coco is 'chasing everything down' according to the commentary.

Been a good watch this. Not the highest quality but an intense battle, some drama. Hope she can close this out...!

 Definitely.

It is intense now. It's the getting over the line thing.

 Not sure what you mean

I think tons of people 'bothered' to watch the final.....

As said before, I was massively rooting for Coco

It's very rare that I have both a particular, long-established fondness for one player, a particular dislike of another, AND the player I like actually deserves it overall in terms of the tennis.

So 100% thrilled with the whole evening

Great match. Not superb tennis but great match.

Brad Gilbert has just become a legend.

And young Coco, as always, is a joy

Coco is the third teenager in the last 4 years to win the US Open following Bianca in 2019 and Emma in 2021. I hope Coco does not follow in their footsteps in other ways as both Bianca and Emma are yet to win another tournament and have had a lot of injury problems.

I cant see that happening- Coco has been on the tour for years. She is a fabulous athlete. Great game great win. Best thing that could have happened to Womens tennis. Great spokesperson speaking out on issues dear to her heart. Heres to many more slams Coco.
