With that quarterfinal win, Krajicek and Dodig guarantee themselves the No. 1 and 2 rankings after the US Open, and they also lead the race. Skupski will drop to No. 3.

Despite their poor year, Ram and Salisbury can climb to No. 6 on the race by defending their title.

What an extraordinarily unexpected upturn in form. And now bidding to become the first ever pair to win the US Open men's doubles three years in a row. Which would see them move into them into the Top 8 in the race too

And Bopanna breaking records too by becoming the oldest ever Grand Slam finalist 13 years after reaching his only final. Was expecting Ram to retire this year - maybe he still will - but a spring chicken in comparison at 39.
