Week 34 US Open Qualifying

No strapping or anything, which is good news

How are you watching? Signed up to Now TV last night but only getting one court on Sky Sports Arena.

I'm in France - it's on the France Eurosport package - they seem to have all the qualification courts - seems really ridiculous that Sky doesn't - costs nothing, given that the broadcasting is being done already.

No commentary (of course) which is brilliant.

(If people have a good VPN in the UK, you should be able to sign up to Eurosport France for a month, for EUR 9.99, which is a very good deal - gets the whole event, easy to use - but is maybe a bit overkill just for qualis if people have signed up for other main draw packages already)

However, the match isn't that great, although I'm only dipping in and out

Harriet the poorer of two poor performances

3-6 *0-0

Recovers from 0-2 down to take the set 6-4. Pacquet typically shaky in the tense end to the set.

Right. C'mon Harriet. Show us that you can play and take the match.

Harriet (for no real reason) looking a little rattled when she lost the game at 3-0

And then served a poor double fault

But a couple of super first serves, a very brave second serve (as in, practically out) and an UE error from Pacquet means she's 4-1 up and still looking good

Nice defense from Harriet

Some very tentative net play from Pacquet, and a couple of UEs

All looking rosy .....

Well done, Harriet

Don't know what went on at the end of the second set and whether Chloe bottled it or not

But Harriet was the better player, easily, in the third

Served it out well

Well done Harriet for turning that around. Came through three very tough games back to back saving game and break points, real good grind.

Woof, can't say I enjoyed much of that but a win is a win.

The second serve looked particularly slow and loopy.

Yes, but the first serve seemed to be firing pretty well.... more so than often when I've watched her

Last I saw the score was 6-4 2-0 and I kind of forgot about it-but nice turnaround from Dart- a pleasant surprise tbh!
