Tennis on Sky Sports

As we know Sky have the rights to the US Open and are expected to have the rights to the 2 tours from next year. If they do I suspect they'll announce it during the US Open.

Looking at the schedules for next week and the 1st week of the main draw, Sky's coverage of the US Open is

Qualifying:
Each day from 4pm to midnight on Sky Sports Arena with some simulcast on Main Event.

Main Draw:
Coverage on both Sky Sports Arena 3pm to 5.30am and Sky Sports Action 4pm to 5am, with some simulcast on Main Event. Also showing on Sky Showcase on the 1st Tuesday 3.30pm to midnight.

Ukraine relief charity event next Wednesday will also be shown live after midnight.

Any idea of the cheapest package. Im only interested in the tennis hence was using Amazon prime. Im just wondering if Eurosport might be cheaper?

Best place to go to for information on subscriptions is Tennis on Telly

Lee has done a comprehensive analysis of who is covering what and what the packages cost

Thanks so much. I have Discovery + as an add on on Amazon Prime so hoping I might be able to access it that way.

Discovery teamed up with TNT Sports(formerly BT)
Sky are their rivals

You may be able to get a deal for a couple of weeks for Sky via NOW TV

But it is not on Eurosport/Discovery is it? Its on Sky.

The best/cheapest way is possibly through Now TV, although we are on a bit of an unknown what the multi court coverage is going to be like.

Edit: What Paulsi said.

31 a month!? Wow, that is a lot. Out of my price bracket to be honest ! I guess it is what you prioritise . I have Netflix and Prime and that is it, Spotify as well for music etc. Prime though is more for the shopping delivery and at 95 a year seems to compare well to 31 a month! Netflix is, what 9.99 a month? And Spotify similar. They all add up though and anymore is beyond what Im willing to pay! So feels like no tennis for me (not much changing there though !).

All courts will be available on the red button for those on Sky, and through the Sky Sports app for Sky Sports subscribers on other platforms

We would only use for tennis too . Can you access Sky on multiple devices? Amazon Prime allows access on 3 devices. If Sky is the same (wasnt clear from Google) then  possibility of sharing access and with cost with family or friends.

I know I don't post often - don't now enough to comment sensibly- but follow tennis year round, challengers etc., as well.

But that just takes watching big tournaments out of my price range.
I've bought Prime & Eurosport for specific events but Sky is not an option.

Great that the tours get the big purchase price from Sky but will it bring more viewers and subscribers ?

I think I'm going to be using this more than ever. www.youtube.com/@thetennistalk

Dont get me wrong Im not paying for it every month. But as a one of cost for 3 weeks of US open tennis plus all football I think thats great value.

You can share your Sky ID app login so possible cost sharing there?

I always think most people can generally afford what they really need. If tennis is your main thing then sky sports is good value as my friend Seagull says you get everything else. I pay £61 for the whole sky package (bar sky movies) that the sports, HD, all the channels plus my super fast internet which is actually cheaper than I paid 10 years ago according to my records. Sky also give your discovery sports for free and I have Amazon prime so thankfully Im covered there.
