Sophia Johnson took the first set off the 16th seed and there was then a toilet break. On return, Sofia immediately broke her opponents service and is now 2-0 up in the 2nd. If it was her opponent who called the toilet break to break Sophia's concentration it seems to have backfired.

 Sofia won as expected. 

Kate Mansfield is UK based and a decent junior, but nothing special.

I'm surprised very few of the GB qualifiers signed in for doubles...

I expect the matches today will follow the men and be moved indoors. The play outdoors has been stop-start all day, and at the moment just one game has been played out of the four that shuld be underway. The venue website says there are four indoor courts.

 6 games in play, so I assume they are playing outdoors. Sophie Bekker has made a good start.

Yes, they are outdoors. Four streamed matches available. Around 40 minutes actual play so far (5:20 pm)

The all GB matches went to Sofia and Danielle.
Alice Gillan is going nicely, Sofia went 4-1 up, but hardly won a game after that. Holly was comfortably beaten
