There's the second event at Bradfield this week, a repeat in effect of last week's

In the girls: 

Sophie Bekker and Isabella Wong are the top two seeds again.

Last week's winner, Tia, seemingly is not playing, though.

13 year-old Rosie Cho has one of the wildcards

 

In the boys, the two Swiss players who made the final have left, but a new Swiss lad has arrived to take the top seed spot

Joe Mazingham is #2

Girls

By the QF stage, points of note:

Top seed, Sophie Bekker, got knocked out by Min Mahmut, a qualifier

I'm pleased to see Isabella Britton through

And 13 year-old Rosie Cho is through to the quarters too

Also, Isabella Wong, Isabella Walker and Francesca Simpson


Boys

(q) Callum Matthew put out 5th seed, Conor Brady

Theo Coates did the same to 4th seed, Jack Curtis

Also Joe Mazingham, Sai Gandepalli, Sam Chadwick, Conor Flynn and one result not yet posted

Boys

The semi-finals are:

Swiss lad v Conor Flynn

Sai Gandepalli v Sam Chadwick


Girls

CZE v NOR

Rosie Cho v Isabella Walker


Again, a shout out to Rosie, only age 13, and playing in her first ITF event, and who beat the 2nd seed today, 4-6 7-6(6) 6-0 (that second set TB must have been ultra tense!)

It's an amazing run so far from Rosie Cho - only 13, first ever ITF tournament, and is now into the final - can she go all the way? aka Emma Raducanu in the Liverpool J5 - she'll have her work cut out, though, against a very decent 14 year-old Czech girl Sofie Hettlerova

In the boys, Conor Flynn had to retire and Sai Gandepalli defeated Sam, so it's Sai into the final, against the Swiss #1 seed

Unfortunately, both our singles finalists lost

Young Rosie put up a very good show, losing 6-3 7-6(10) to the 5th seed Czech girl

And the top seed Swiss lad beat Sai very easily
