Week 32 - WTA125 - KOZERKI, Poland Hard

Oops, yes you are right of course. I got confused with the recent Warsaw tournament which was a 250.

Ha, thanks all. Glad I have never really been looking at the race at all to confuse myself. Would only really get interested if we had a pair with a chance of reaching the WTA tour finals.

Same here, exactly. But this thread prompted me to have a look. Although I do follow the rankings quite closely, looking to see who is making a move up the rankings to join our top 9

I was prompted to look at the race due to Indiana's post about the impact of points dropping near end August.

Based on the race positions I had a quick peek and it seems that Lissey and Liv have further WTA points in late 2022 coming off which will drop them back further.

It seems they were doing well at WTA events in 2022 but have struggled in 2023.

I wonder if Bains/Lumsden will suffer the same fate assuming they stick at it.

I seem to recall a suggestion that a new player/pair can have a nice debut year, but after a while the rest of the circuit work them out.

At current levels about 1600 points is a good level. Even above that ITF still count but few players need them.

Lots of players between 1000 and 1600.

But for the British girls 1600 is a long way off cry

I believe an application is being processed in respect of an Eden Silva in Brazil

Back into the top 200 by reaching the W80 final there and a much strengthened GB #10 position.
