Current projected ranking points at 28/08, with Naiktha and Maia's points so far here and allowing for the 280 ( net 230 ) points that Lissey & Olivia are due to drop on 28/08 ( Granby WTA 250 title last year ) :
Naiktha 926 Maia 921 Alicia 900 Olivia 887
I do enjoy a bit of a battle over ranking spots!
have the two pairs played each other at all? Someone will no doubt tell me it was just two weeks ago but my mind has moved on!
Apparently not in the last few years anyway. Until pretty recently Naiktha & Maia were still playing ITFs while Lissey & Olivia were largely playing on the WTA tour.
Well lets hope a match up happens soon ish , it makes the sport so much more interesting

British entries in the top 200 in the live doubles race:
30 Bains/Lumsden 491pts
60 Watson/Dart 312pts
71 Watson/Wickmayer(BEL) 280pts
97 Barnett/Nicholls 206pts
127 Christie/Collins 134pts
Newbie question if I may, at what level in the rankings does a doubles player make a living out of it?
Welcome to the forum, Anna! I have no idea in response to your question, but all of the above are , I presume , full time. Im guessing they earn enough to sustain themselves, but that wont be prizeMoney alone, presumably grants, sponsorships, side gigs help them get by. Someone else will have a better answer !
Welcome Anna. I can't answer your question either, but I have a couple of points to make.
The doubles race only includes points from WTA tournaments - and those you list mainly play ITF tournaments (with the exception of Harriet and Heather) and only a few WTA tournaments although they are moving up to the WTA events in recent months. Incidentally, the positions you quote don't tally with the official WTA rankings - some are only a place or two out but Barnett/Nicholls are at 66 and Christie/Collins at 79
Looking at the player's individual stats on the WTA site, several of our girls have won around $50k-$60k this year (although that does include singles if they have played any). By the time you deduct expenses (travel, hotels, meals etc as well as other expenses from tournaments) there won't be a lot over.
Just a guess but at 150 you can break even - under 100 you can make money (especially given a home slam) if you're not too extravagant. I don't think any of our players will be rushing to bye a new Ferrari soon.
Typo

Thanks - that's a good point about ITF points prompting another newbie question - do the ITF points count for getting entry/seeding to the WTA events
I'd assumed the data I pulled from https://live-tennis.eu/en/wta-doubles-race gave an indication of where the rankings would be at year-end (all other things being equal)
You mention the official rankings which are distinct from "the race" surely (rolling 12 month versus year-to-date)
Sorry if I'm being silly, I know this board is frequented by folks who know this stuff inside/out!

Welcome
ITF points do count for getting entry/seeding to the WTA events but you really have to get to the final. One or two wins in a WTA event is usually enough to beat a ITF final. Most players with a ranking 0f 50-150 will have some ITF points.
