Yes, this has been a real humdinger

Eden have every chance in the first set but blew it

And then went quickly behind in the second

But Kiki is the world's worst in terms of mental strength - and she was right near the finish line and managed to bottle it

Eden (who's not much better) was then a break up in the third. Which she then lost. And got back.

With all the stop-start due to the weather, it hasn't been easy - and it's really anyone's match when it starts again

2nd seed Jeanjean is 2 points away from going out to a player ranked 700odd so if Eden did manage to serve out the next 2 games its a great chance for some serious points.

And she did it !

Our Eden wins, 6-4 in the third !

Brilliant victory - don't like Kiki, so even more pleased for Eden

Very well done by Eden, though Jeanjean survived by 7-6(4) 2-6 7-6(3) so remains a potential SF opponent.

Have to admit I was sceptical of Eden's Brazilian swing - she made the mistake last year, when in a great position ranking wise, of heading abroad to some big tournaments instead of doing the 25ks at home, and earned very few points. But this is an excellent win, if she can get another win here, she'll be back level with Emily App on points.

Youre right, it's probably not that fair but she and Garcia had a huge public bust-up and, maybe wrongly but hey, I thought Caro was more in the right. And there was the bust up with the FFT too.

But, basically, it's because Kiki just 'moans' - and she always does it by saying 'I'm not the sort to moan' - and then moaning. If she loses, it's never coz the other player played well.

NB I'm not sure if it's true but some reports that she couldn't find a partner to play with at Wimbledon - she was over in London, lost in the first round, I believe, of qualis, and had the ranking to play doubles but either coz she had a bit of a sulk, or because no one wanted to partner her (of for the reason that she gave that she wanted to work on some lower tournaments), went back and didn't play doubles
