This really put a smile on my face. Good to see both into the SF after various injuries and health issues.

great to see two well established names in Katy and Beth into the last 4 - where is Katy at with her injuries etc or is it just one week at a time right now?

She's played 4 of the last 5 weeks, 1st tournie 2nd rd, next 2 QF, weeks break and so far a SF this week so at the moment it looks positive.  She's actually played quite a bit since June

She was looking pretty good at Roehampton, so she is progressing week on week. Just a case of getting fully -match-fit and gaining confidence. But if she can beat Jo G then she's well on the way. I hope to see the improvement for myself next week, assuming she gets into the main draw (showing as Q9 on the acceptance list).

Katy is up a set 6-4 and a double break *3-0.

Beth started slowly (not unusual) and was quickly 0-3 before she recovered to 3-3. She was broken in the crucual 8th game though, despite serving 3 aces, and lost the set 3-6
