Yanina and Heather are currently on court - playing Lissey and Liv. They should know each other's game pretty well by now !

Not going so well in the other two matches. Jodie+ and Naiktha/Maia are both a set down.

Heather can be such a great doubles player. It does surprise me that shes rarely in the top 100 doubles rankings.

She just doesn't play much doubles these days. At her best has reached 11 WTA finals.

I feared this might happen after the rejigged draw, yesterday being rained off probably killed their momentum from last week as well?

Was this on Amazon Prime Video? I couldn't find it anywhere despite being listed the day before when it was originally scheduled.

Yes, she has a CH of 39 from 2019. She's a bit similar to Harriet in that both would undoubtedly be much higher ranked if more focussed on doubles. Not that I want them to be, though maybe something for Heather down the line.

With that pass now into the doubles SF, Heather is at least up to live ranked 147, with us now having 9 women in the live top 150.

I quite like the fact that in women's doubles it is just their best 11 ranking scores that count, thus helping a bit the more occasional but good doubles performers as against the specialists.
