Week 30 - WTA250 - Warsaw, Poland Hard

Yes, Heather and Yanina have reached the semis after Fruhvirtova and Siegmeund gave a walkover. Siegemund is still in the singles but Fruhvirtova went out early. The PDF draw still isn't available on the WTA website, but TNNS have their own.

Still 110 points for Heather and a nice jump as Indi says.

A Heather Watson win today in the singles might be enough to get her into the seeding positions for the US qualifying. Probably will be just outside unless there are a few withdrawals. Every little helps.

I would hope so there are 6 Americans in front of her in the rankings some of whom will get wildcards.

Not sure what is happening over in Warsaw. They are playng two of the singles QF's outdoors on Centre Court but the other two aren't showing on the order of play (including Heather). The remaining two doubles QF'd have been moved indoors, and will be followed by both semi-finals.

Thats odd. Given one of those missing matches involves Iga Swiatek youd have to assume theyll be played outdoors too (weather allowing)?

Furthermore Heather and Yanina have been given a walkover in the doubles. Yanina is also Heather's next singles opponent, supposedly today, but not necessarily it seems.

The walkover was overnight, into the semis.

I was wondering if anyone would notice that typo ! They are actually CR262 (183+79) in the latest rankings.

I am assuming they've only been able to use the centre court these past couple of days or am sure they'd have looked to catch up more quickly.

Heather's match has been moved to Court 3 as the first match of the day lasted over three hours
