I used to go to university in Roehampton, it's not exactly the best connected area of London transport wise! But you can get the 72 from Hammersmith to the uni and then the NTC is directly behind. Isn't the bridge only closed in the nights?

I'm pretty sure it's still shut to all cars/buses etc

It's reopened for pedestrians and cyclists
Oh wow! I graduated all the way back in 2015, a majority of my time at uni the bridge would be closed at night for works. Coming back from a night out in central would sometimes take 2 hours.... Crazy that they are still working on it.

WARNING - look away anyone who's not in the slightest bit interested about Hammersmith Bridge
Yeah, it's been a real mess.
It was suddenly closed completely in 2019, when they found cracks in the supports/pedestals
Was considered seriously dangerous
It was re-opened for pedestrians/cyclists in 2021 sometime but has been shut for FOUR years for motor traffic. Absolute nightmare. And, of course, there's major political wranglings as to who's going to pay for it as the last thing I saw was it would cost about £140 million (!)
No idea where they are in the process but not very far, I believe !
