Had a spell of 2 games in the second set where shots were flying about a bit. Pulled it together well however which she would not have done 18 months ago. Thought She served well
Huge points on offer for a relatively weak field at this level. Bai will present a challenge as a young player on the rise following her rum at Wimbledon. But an opportunity to cement her Top 100 status.
SF:- Alicia Barnett (GBR) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR160 (79+81) [1] v Lia Karatancheva (BUL) / Sesil Karatantcheva (BUL) UNR (382+UNR/CH154 in 2010) [WC] A 50 point non-counter for both our girls, but they need bigger points with a 140 and a 280 dropping in August)
(Emilie plays later today)

To be fair they can't defend their WTA Granby title as it's been downgraded to a W100 (playing this week instead of just before the US Open).
Her first serve seems to have more penetration on hard court. I wasn't impressed by her serving on the grass.
Forehand down the line, typically on the run, was sensational. Several good 2nd serve returns but wasted other opportunities. Similarly at the net, some good play though managed to lose a few points she had control of. Too many errors on the initial groundstroke after her serve.
Seemed a decent quality match. Eva's error count was fairly low. Not sure how much impact the wind had.
I'd say they should be trying the 500's as well. Lissey didn't have a brilliant grass court season, but seems to be getting back to form again from what I've seen this week.
Joined the live streaming at 4-1 (break up) and left at 4-5 (break down). Lots of errors at the moment and looking quite flat. Appreciate it must be a culture shock following weeks in front of home crowds but this is a great opportunity to secure loads of points.

And the set slips away 4-6. Jodie is inclined to hit the ball as it comes to her, and isn't moving her feet anything like enough to get in the right position. She hits the ball well enough on the move, but anything close to her could end up anywhere.
