Bencic looks absolutely fine and playing very well, absolutely leathering the ball. Unfortunately.

Katie serving well at this early stage though, couple of 115mph biggies.

Good hold from Katie. Couple of points in the next game she's almost there, but can't quite get onto the ball properly. The second serve return at 15-30* a good example.

*0-30 again. Back level. Set point... saved with a huge ace down the T. Double fault...

Ugh. So close throughout that set but Bencic nabs it. Shame about this draw, Katie is playing a good level but all the half-chances going the way of the top 20 player.

Hmmm. Katie responding the way I'd hoped Parry would earlier - head down, slumped shoulders, balls spraying.

Bencic as solid as a rock so far but Katie does a super job to get to deuce from 0-40*. Not to be though, super touch from Bencic and then an error on the return.
