Week 27/28 - Wimbledon Ladies, Great Britain Grass

Oh Jodie. Goes down *0-40, saves two, and then sillyly listens to crowd noises and stops play to challenge and the ball was in.

Not thinking well here, getting nervous. And maybe the painkillers have kicked in for the American.

2-3*

Much deserved! McNally was moving so much better in that second, she definitely had to win it. Welcome to the top 100!

Despite it being super nervy for us at the end, thought Jodie held it together really well. Not many MPs where you could say she fluffed it - McNally was stepping it up and making her play better.

So, so well deserved!

Jodie!! All the injuries, the pain, the tough times. All worth it for that moment.

Caty did a great job on the match points and then blew the easy one on break point, thankfully!

Katie S *0-1

I'm usually an optimist but this could easily be a wipeout in R1. Harriet might have the best chance.

We haven't  had a wipeout since 2010.Prior to that it was 2003. I think that was the only 2 occasions that has happened.

Thankfully Jodie has avoided a potential wipeout . Well done to her.
