Week 27/28 - Wimbledon Ladies, Great Britain Grass

Harriet probably could have won 2/3 games of that set but Parry stamped the chances out. Was rather hoping the player who won the tiebreak would be handing out the bakery products...

7-6(4) 0-6 0-0*

Saves break points then gets a game point but a second serve foot fault ends it. And she's broken again.

Going three this one 0-4*

This looks too easy for Parry in this second set - I wonder if Harriet is 100% fit, she has strapping to that shoulder. Just saw Novak arrive with his Waitrose bag!

This does surprise me. He has always struck me more as a Farm foods guy

Not better.

Parry holds a long game. No break points. The Frenchwoman is hitting the forehand so nicely now, and some good feel at the net.

Looking dicey for Harriet.

Emotions boiling over now. Feel for her, she's not got the answers and so many miss hits. First serve has totally gone.

Messy game from Parry though and Harriet breaks back to love. Still not held in five service games though.

*2-3

Harriet does hold well but Parry storms through her next service game with new balls.

*3-4

iPlayer is down by the way, so currently no access to court screens via the BBC outside the main coverage. Betting sites are working.

Harriet holds to love.

An excruciating game and it's over. A diabolical error at *15-30 sealed her fate.

Harriet loses 6-7(4) 6-0 6-4

That wasn't on the cards. Gutted for her, but Parry played a good match. Harriet's own fault though, she started the second meekly and just made too many mistakes.

Probably the worst she has played on the grass which isn't ideal when this is the one that counts. Such a shame.

Think we might be in for a difficult couple of days...
