These fascists like you need to **** off this board!

You dont know me you fool learn how to handle your emotions.

these protestors that we are seeing are not doing this for politics, theyre doing it for selfish reasons, the rush, the attention..meanwhile doing their cause a huge disservice. Fools like you who cant handle the real world and need to be constantly accommodated are just the worst.

Pretty ironic that somebody who writes ''These protestors need to **** off' and then claims that a respondent can't keep control of his emotions!!

The respondent was the first one to make a personal attack however in calling him a Fascist.

There is a huge difference between the first post - telling those who have been seen to cause ordinary people a huge amount of angst (eg missing funerals, hospital appts, being late for work) to leave sport alone and telling a poster you have never met and who holds a different view to you that they are a fascist and should leave the board.  In my view only the latter is an emotional reaction.

Criminal damage charges apparently being attempted. That confetti and jigsaw puzzles really must do some damage eh. Yes these folks are annoying but really?

Criminal damage does not need to be physical damage. It also includes interference that temporarily prevents the the land being used for the owner's purpose.

I was waiting for this post. Im aware of the law its the field I work in granted in Scotland. It is still a very desperate charge is what I was getting at.

Heather match point down to an injured opponent and Heather now looks in pain as well.

Almost Andy like attempts to save that last one sadly not enough. Gulf in class even with an injured opponent similar to Jodie match at points but Heather battled and just couldnt get the break.

Superb effort from Hev in the second. Really made a match of it and played some super tennis. Unfortunately missed *the* chance on the second break point at 4-4* and had a play on a couple of the deuce points in the final game but netted.

Lovely to see her looking like she was enjoying herself on court. Just a shame the year she strings a run together she got no points for it.

Hopefully she can go deep in the mixed again.

It would be really annoying now if the Czech has an injury and cant play her second round match . If only Heather could have stayed out there a bit longer .

At least it was a creditable effort given her recent form.

Yes. The crowd enjoyed the second set.
Hev can feel she produced some good tennis
Real shame she couldn't at least force a tiebreak though..... :(

Slow start from Heather but played reasonably well in the 2nd set.

I liked Katie Boulter's performance today. Big serving, aggressive groundstrokes, won lots of points at the net, return winners, drop shots. A couple of dfs when she tried to serve out the match and got broken but other than that, very impressive.

In contrast, Jodie's match was a nightmare. I suppose the nerves meant she couldn't do anything right; movement looked slow, no penetration on her serve, timid groundstrokes. Her whole approach was so negative, ended up being pushed around the court by Kasatkina for large parts of the match. Had a good spell to get the early break in the 2nd set then up 30-0 on serve when her shot selection and execution disintegrated. Had game point or break point in 4 games she lost in the 2nd set.

I think Barbora has a minor issue but there was definitely a tactical element to the MTO at *5-6

And Stevanovic has just destroyed Pliskova!

Boulter will play Tomova who put out Persa. Superb opportunity to make round 3. Let's hope she doesn't have another Tan situation...

But a showdown with Rybakina on Centre in round 3 would be tasty!!
