I've no idea on this forum who are white, Conservative middle class men and I'm not going to assume one way or the other.

But Castle's comments yesterday finally led me to write one of my 'complaining' letters (which I've blasted off to several places) and I've also mentioned it on every single Wimbledon feedback review I've filled out this week (namely, four) - under the Question:

'What could be do better to make your day Outstanding?'

- Answer: not have Lloyd and Castle doing the inane and insulting commentaries that are, unfortunately, miked up so you can't escape them if you're anywhere near the big screen.

The person I went with has done the same so that makes eight.

We're Whisper one of them, as they're responsible for TV production? The beeb just take the world feed for qualifying.

Happens to me too with all punctuation marks. So frustrating. Is there something we need to change in the settings I wonder?

Thank you for this I couldnt agree with you more regarding Lloyd and Castle. I really enjoy Laura, Naomi Broady, Annabelle and Tim Henman. Anne Keothavong and Sam Smith work well together and Im warming to Gigi Salmon and Catherine Downs after watching Eastbourne this week

Annabels husband died just a month ago, after a short cancer illness, is she back and commentating ?

I like her also and wish her well.

She's been at Eastbourne all week working for the BBC, and doing an excellent job.

Yeah she has been doing a great job. Some people cope with grief by keeping busy and I think this is what poor Annabelle is doing

Main Draw out.

Not brilliant. Couple of opportunities in there but some tough, tough, matches.

Anything less than 2 wins would be a disappointment. But Jodie has a chance, and Bencic hasnt played all grass season

Yes I'm actually pleased if one of girls got Bencic it's Katie S. I think she has the ability to take advantage of that.

Mainly just feel a bit sorry for Heather, she could desperately do with the points. Jodie she could win that match or lose in 50mins.

Its interesting the ones on here who defend Castle on here, hes fine for me etc. White middle class men of a certain party, the types that are responsible for him being a constant.

Inverdale is a lot more knowledgable and although hes made mistakes over the years he seems to
Have owned them and is a far better human being than Castle as highlighted by the poster above.

I happen to quite like his commentary. It's total nonsense to link that with race age or political preference. How the hell do you know if I'm white, male, middle class or most annoyingly of a certain party I assume Tory.

There's no point trying to argue with Jaggy, it went over to cloud cuckoo land years ago, they are a lost cause now.

Inverdale is the lesser of the two evils. At least he seems to have improved slightly since his terrible Bartoli comments. Castle is basically Alan partridge, but in 2023, a man who basically cant seem to tell one Asian woman from the next, and jokes about the mispronounciation is just utterly disrespectful. people forgive these gaffs because they enjoy his general mutterings, but hes offensive, and self centred. Naomi Cavaday should be leading, shes brilliant.

None of the top 6 seeded players got into the main draw. Mirra Andreeva  seeded 7 was the first player to make it. The  next was Yue  Yuan  at number 11.
