Not watching the match, but there's now a MTO with Sonay 5-2 up in the 2nd set, and I'm guessing it might be for Andreescu because her wins of 1st serve and 1st serve receiving are down considerably from the 1st set?

Great effort. She did so well on the match points but she went the wrong way with a putaway at deuce that would have given her a game point for a breaker and was punished.

Lots of good stuff in that though. Hope she can play well at SW19.

Oh pity.

Sonay's Wimbledon MD WC has clearly been debatable ( well, certainly debated ). But looks a very good effort here, on top of her other grass court performances, and hopefully an experience which will help her be more ready this year for Wimbledon main draw and whatever that brings.

Yes, huge crowd here, should make Wimbledon feel much more manageable. A very creditable but I'm sure frustrating performance. Well done Sonay.
