Sadly Paolini has woken up again, but this is still a very good showing from Ranah.

2-3*

Paolini is not a grass court behemoth - this is certainly still winnable

4 breaks in a row 4-5*

Ranah struggling when Paolini injects the pace. Its just a much heavier ball than she's used to I guess. But lots of good tennis today, and there's still some hope!

4-6 6-2 6-4 the final score to Paolini. but an encouraging scoreline against a top 50 player for Ranah

What happened to Poots? I went to get a drink at the change of ends and when I came back they were walking off. She seemed to be moving alright up until then - or did she just decide that enough was enough ?

Was going to switch over and watch Poots and Heather to discover she'd retired. Oh well......

What a great draw for Harriet. Katie may end up playing someone different but Id argue good to have top level opposition before Wimbledon

The winner of Harriet's match will play Kvitova or Ostapenko.

Youd like to think Burrage has a decent chance against Paolini given the struggle shes just had.
