R1:
Naiktha Bains [1/314] v Alice Gillan Katy Dunne v (WC) Ranah Stoiber (WC) Ella Mcdonald v Maia Lumsden (WC) Hephzibah Oluwadare v Eden Silva [3/389]
Anna Brogan [2/369] v Beth Grey (WC) Amelia Rajecki v Amarni Banks (WC) Ciara Moore v Jasmine Conway (WC) Mika Stojsavljevic v Emily Appleton [4/390]
I know she is very young, and there is no rush, but I would have though this would be good experience for Hannah Klugman. Unless she already has a QWC?

Brogan vs Grey and Rajecki vs Banks is quite a little section. I guess Emily App should lie in wait for whoever emerges from that.
Naiktha and Eden may come through to meet from the top section. By default as much as anything. Though there's others I would prefer to emerge eg. Katy, Ranah, Maia. Hopefully all are reasonably fit and well..
Eliz is injured, I believe. And Freya has her doubles. Talia is strange......
Katy Dunne has a pretty nice draw - pleased for her
Strong emphasis on the youngsters
I'm annoyed Marni is playing Millie.....
I'm annoyed Millie has to play here at all. She deserves a direct QWC in my opinion.
Yes.
The only argument to the contrary would be, I guess, that she has had three wildcards already (so no one can say they've not been quite generous), and Eden and Emily App have good claims to a direct one too, and three into two doesn't go, so they all have to play play-offs
I don't think the loser of Marni v Millie is automatically ruled out either
i.e. if Millie were to lose to Marni, say, and Marni made the last two, Millie may still get a wildcard; it doesn't have to be the players who make the semis
Frankly, I think the top half is completely open. Naiktha hasn't won a match or even look likely to win a match (the standard here is lower but all the same). Eden plays well but she only beats Zacarias - maybe she can't beat anyone else. Maia can make herself tricky to beat. Alice was playing very well at Surbiton. Ella seems to be playing better. Katy has no grass form this year but I wouldn't put it past her. Ranah makes a lot of errors but hits a lot of winners - it only takes a day with a little tip in the balance. And Hep shouldn't be completely written off either, she hasn't been around this year, and is the least likely, but she plays well on grass.
On the flip side, and sorry to parents thereof, but I wouldn't give any chance to Jasmine, Ciara or Mika. The gap between top and bottom seems far wider in the bottom half
PS Just for info, I heard that Talia is unfortunately injured, and that's the reason she's not taking part. Such a shame as she'd only just come back from her heel injury, and was playing well. I think they're waiting to know how long she'll be out, so I've no idea about Wimbledon juniors, too, but it looks unlikely. Here's hoping it's nothing too serious #fingerscrossed
