Didn't see the match, just watched the 1st set scoreboard tick over.

Swan, initially 1-3 down, but broke Errani and squared it at 3-3. Then at 5-5, made the decisive break, and closed out the following service game. It was great to hear a couple of hours later, that the second set was also won with the same scoreline.

7-5, 7-5 is the best result, isn't it? Swan gave herself 15 break point chances, and took 6 of them. Swan has always been able to break the opponents serve. The return game is excellent, especially against the 1st serve.

Though Errani was the seeded player, I think she would have been the one thinking the draw was unkind. It's just the first match though, and it's point by point all the way.

Great win, but Krueger in R2 is supremely talented. Match might not be on Katies racquet

 Yes, she is very talented.

But Katie Boulter only lost in a third-set tiebreak a couple of months ago - and (IMO) should have won.

Now I know that was on clay but Kruger also lost against Vickery on grass in R1 at Surbiton and I don't rate Vickery

She's certainly young, and strikes a heavy ball. But I don't think she'll always be dictating play against Katie S.

Kenin was ahead 4-2 in the final set, but Wickmayer ground her down to win it 7-5. Where does Wickmayer get such stamina?

And then Wickmayer and Schoofs went on to win their doubles QF. It's all lookinga bit like Surbiton again, atm.

Tennis on Telly says it's not being broadcast in the UK. I couldn't find a live stream the other day. Maybe it's on a betting site?
