Well, some relief for the organisers, as that's the final qualifying match eventually completed.

I wonder if they will move matches indoors tomorrow, or just allow a wash out and get back on the grass on Wednesday. It's to be good rest of the week so plenty time to get the event done by Saturday evening.

Good couple of wins to end the day.

Nice to see the next tier of British gals having a go. Would be nice to see 2/3 of them go far this week.

Some nice doubles presence

Emily WS has a spot; Maddie Brooks and Holly H are there with a wildcard; youngsters Mimi and Isa are playing together, also with a wildcard; the third WC is Lily & Lauryn, Eden playing with Gadecki...

The doubles draw came out yesterday - it's back on page 4 of this thread (but doesn't show the wildcards as they aren't shown on the draw)

Sorry, I didn't mean to duplicate, just to make some comment about those I was pleased to see

TNNS showing Anna through against Scott but with no score? Walkover?

No, it's a bug. As the draw was done without qualifiers, TNNS put everyone drawn against a qualifier / LL through to the next round and they haven't corrected it since qualifiers have been placed.

OOP sheet says doubles might be moved indoors.

Hannah is doing very well but her team needs to nip some of this behaviour stuff in the bud, now. Embarrassing for a 14 year old to be getting unsportsmanlike conduct warnings ('soft' or otherwise) and totally unnecessary.

I sort of agree but then I also like to see a bit of "attitude" too. I'm trying to recall what I was like at 14 but I'm sure I wasn't perfect all the time.

Some firm guidance should be enough.

Wow!! What a finish!

Golubic now lost to Brits in each of the grass court events. What a super, and I'll be honest unexpected, victory! Great effort!

Great win. Golubic has been pretty poor for a while but still very impressive. Personally I'd give her a MD Wimbledon wildcard over and above the likes of Heather or Harriet.

As I posted earlier, the soft warning was for hitting her racket on the grass. The umpire had no problem with her screams, language or other conduct. There was nothing in her behaviour that was unsporting. She screamed in frustration at herself a couple of times, the biggest when she had let 3 set points go, and muttered to herself a few other times, but none of it was unsporting or unusual. The whole conversation on here was bizarre as it was nothing you don't see from many other pros and nothing that I felt was poor conduct. I've certainly seen and heard much worse from Hannah in the past.
