Week 25 - ITF W100 - Ilkley, Great Britain Grass

Hmm I wonder what Heather's plan is now?

Jasmine loses 6-2 in the third. She gave it a good go.

Ella loses the first set 6-3. Not brilliant quality.

I wonder if Harriet or Jodie have pulled out of Birmingham and Heather has been given their WC.

Harriet had the physio out for the same problem in her last 2 matches and perhaps it needs precautionary rest.
I'm not convinced Jodie has fully recovered from the bone stress in her arm as she kept holding it all of last week.

Sounds plausible ! Or perhaps Heather is in Eastbourne and wants a weeks rest?

How does it work? When does a wildcard go to another replacement wildcard or to a lucky loser?

Rain stops play in Ilkley, with Hannah having just dropped the opening set. Doing well but the Dutchwoman is bossing a lot of the points and being a bit more solid on serve. Beth has started well though, with a consolidated break lead.

[WC] Hannah Klugman GBR 2-6 *0-0 [4] Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove NED
Sarah Beth Grey GBR 3-0* [10] Zeynep Sonmez TUR
[WC] Ella McDonald GBR 3-6 2-3* [14] Natalija Stevanovic SRB

Not sure how bad the waether is like up there, but all matches are interrupted and I can see some of the courts have been covered.

Big downpour here in Harrogate around 20-30 mins ago, we are 10-12 miles away from ilkley. they would usually get it first over there, so its dry here now and hopefully drying out there on the grass , unless there is more on its way!

Cover is still on court 1, but the other three streamed courts are clear.

Some of the men have restarted. No women back on court but looks like they will try and finish these matches off.
