Then Jodie has some cramp and/or ankle, ssue as she fails to take off for a drop shot at *30-15, then also loses the next 2 points to finally be broken.
5-6*
Think she went over on her ankle. Hope its just a minor issue
Her ankles have been such a problem for so long.....
Harriet's face when she went to shake hands - not a hint od a smile or friendship. You'd think she'd lost.
What do you expect when there was a big sulk coming in the opposite direction? None of this was remotely in the same league as the utterly embarrassing Ollie Robinson towards Usman Khawaja in the cricket also in Birmingham.
Plus Jodie was injured, going over to her with a smile on her face would've been rude.

Indeed.

I wish Jodie could focus on playing better, what she needs to do to win points, get her shots to land in the court, move her feet, rather than the endless analysis of why she just missed the last shot and the shocking error before that. She completely lost her focus in the 2nd set.
First and third sets were a decent effort from her given she must be exhausted after Nottingham, fought hard to save bps in the opening set, typically after at least one awful error each service game, unlucky to hurt her ankle near the end, should have done a lot better when Harriet couldn't land a first serve at 4-3* - indeed Jodie's returning of the Dart 2nd serve was abysmal throughout the match (Harriet won 62.5% behind her 2nd serve). Jodie got herself in trouble at *4-4 then played really well to save 3 bps.
Harriet played reasonably well, the occasional stunning shot from her. Low error count in the 2nd set while Jodie was imploding. For once, Harriet was the calmer player out there.

Jodie and Katie losing shows how hard it is to follow up a win - youre emotionally and physically tired after a big week like last. Hopefully both will be at Eastbourne.
It may be because Ive watched a few Kasatkina matches recently but Harriets 2nd serve seems to have improved, better placement and more pace. Good display so far from Dart
