Cornet didn't need the SE I think, she would have been in by ranking looking at the top seeds in qualies. Possible she was the late withdrawal that opened up the lucky loser spot?

Cornet has posted it's Berlin next, which is odd as she wasn't on the EL. Must have a WC. So, you're right, Katie always did have the SE and hasn't inherited it from Cornet
Lissey and Liv must have been just outside making the cut directly I think. A tougher field than Notts but agree they pairs have got good draws.
Looking at WTA doubles rankings our two pairs have the highest combined rankings in the draw with the exception of Su-Wei Hsieh and Barbora Strycova.Stryvova will have entered on her SE which must be top 60 if not much higher. So it looks very ikely that both WC's were needed.
Strycova/Hsieh were top of the advanced entry list (CR 7), and cut off of advance entries was CR 140. Hunter repaired (originally with Mertens) as did Kolodziejova (originally with Vondrousova). On site entries were Neel/Wu, Linette/Pera and Kostyuk/Krejcikova.
Thanks Lambda. I haven't seen the advanced entry lists and haven't worked out what the CR would be when you take into account the singles rankings. Strycova/Hsieh have the lowly doubles CR of 377 (29+348) which is very different to the rankings used for entry as we all know.

Advanced entries are doubles ranking only, but both have a protected ranking so will have used that to top the initial list.
The Slams are different in allowing best of singles and doubles for advance entries.
It's wonderful that Katie B and Jodie contested today's Nottingham final....but the downside of it for me is that I've now got no Brits to spectate at the Priory Club tomorrow and it's the only day of the week I'm going
