Week 24 - WTA250 Nottingham, UK - Grass

Well done Emily! Had to save a few break points in the second but stayed so solid. What a fantastic achievement!

The qualifier placements are pretty friendly. Definitely lots of opportunities and of course a possible all GB match up with Katie B.

And yes, there's no way girls like Emily and Eden should be made to go through the playoffs.

All four through to the main draw, giving us seven in the MD. Our girls do seem to be cashing in on other girls unfamiliarity with grass.

Another great set of results, well done to all the Brits in qualifying, especially Emily for the amazing comeback late yesterday, and the win today.

Hopefully Heather can do a bit better than at Wimbledon last year. Sonay I'd really be wanting to be this one - Frech would be a superb draw at Wimbledon.

Marino serves big but hopefully Harriet can get some reads on it.

Emily getting the all-GB draw isn't a bad outcome. She's had a great week and I'd like to see Katie win a couple of matches here.

Tough one for Heather given Niemeier beat her at Wimbledon last year, but all avoided Linette which is good.

A win for Emily App against Katie B would give the AELTC a real wildcard headache, so that could be fun!

Sonay is second on court 1 tomorrow followed by Heather (on Amazon Prime presumably). The other 4 matches involving Brits presumably scheduled for Tuesday (Ryan & Arthur follow Vekic and Sakkari on Centre tomorrow, available on BBC Red Button.

Decent draw for our ladies, they could all win.

But s the BBC covering this tournament?

Prime are covering the women.
BBC Digital are covering men and women.

Well they could have if we didn't have 1 all GB draw in there but atleast there is a Brit guaranteed to be in the 2nd round

Not a British player, but when the Nottingham tournament was revived in 2015 ,Donna Vekic has appeared in the singles every year. I think it is 8 times.

She was British based for many years, coach was David Felgate.
