Doubles draw out. No surprises in teams, but a big all GB match between Harriet/Heather and Lissey/Liv...

Only one wildcard given out, to LJB/Lily and I *think* EWS/Kempen were last in, given on-site acceptance teams can use singles rankings to get in the draw.

I checked the list against current rankings and it was very close between 3 pairs - CR384,CR396 and CR399. It'll take a bit of time to check the rankings at entry date, so I'm not going to do it !

Super from Marni but gosh it was a little sad to watch Paszek play so poorly on grass given her history on the surface .

Order of play is out for tomorrow (with a few blanks for the matches not yet completed today). No women on Centre Court where Andy plays later, so my ground pass is good for the matches I paricularly want to see, namely EWS, Millie, Isabelle and the GB doubles face-off. (plus any of the others in between)

Ground passes count for centre court tomorrow - the centre courts special tickets only start as of Wednesday 7th June

So general tickets can be used on centre court for Monday and Tuesday

 Thanks CD. Excellent tournament knowledge.

Hoping the weather is as lovely as today!

And she will get her WR back as this will make 11 points (and a 3rd counter). It will likely be only temporary as points are due off in July but nonetheless

Managed to drop down there yesterday. Brilliant sunshine

Jodie and Harriet were there, saw Harriet practice a bit.

With all due respect to Emily WS, Sofia Johnson has never had such a golden opportunity to get ITF 100k points. And it really shows that her game has hardly come on at all in the last year that she didn't. A horrible lack of rigour - you can't just hit one reasonably flashy shot out of 10 and call that tennis. Mind you, she is very fairplay, which is really nice to see.

First time to see Mika live. I hadn't realised she is quite so tall, and will be strong too. She was never going to win but she was not at all ridiculous on the court, it was a fair match-up, especially in the first set. The LTA bods were there watching her.

Lauryn could feel a little aggrieved with herself - the first set was possibly/probably hers - not sure I agree with the guy who was shouting out coaching advice. Certainly the French guys were quite happy with the advice he was giving - I would advise Lauryn's bloke to spend less time shouting the same advice and more time listening in to what the French guys were telling Carole - and if you don't speak French, get someone who does - seriously, it would have made a difference and the first set was decided on very small margins.

Talia put up a decent show, given the rankings difference. Didn't see Maia, or Emily App

But thoroughly enjoyed Millie A great fight. The show court is quite imposing at Surbiton now - it gives the players quite a different feel from how you normally play (especially since they've changed the same space from two courts to one court). The sideways feel, in particular. She dealt with it very well and certainly, when Millie hits a ball, that ball stays hit.

Isa and Alice obviously were two othe great matches for the crowd. Isa's was a high quality match. Alice's was a weird and nervy affair. But great job by both players.

EWS eventually takes the first set 7-6(3)

Seen less of Em App but she's doing a good job against a very tough opponent. 4-6 2-1*

EWS's variety causing plenty of problems, Chang's big forehand proving tricky. This could go either way.

Em App loses 6-4 6-3 gave a good account of herself.

Chang has got a bit of rhythm on her serve at long last, holds with ease throughout the second set. A break to 40 in the opening game (she didn't have any game points) was enough to cost Em the set.

7-6(3) 4-6 *0-0
