Agreed. If I've got a ticket I'm there for the duration!

Slightly different aa theres more going on but I try to get a ticket on one of the show court at wimbledon in the 1st week but I'll only watch 1 match, if that. I spend most of the day flitting between courts with specific players on.

Difficult match for Boulter, up against a powerful opponent. Still, Rome wasn't built in a day, and so another healthy ranking rise this week. The Brits are bouncing back quickly, from the dark red days of clay.

Live rankings after the SFs :

125. Katie B  567 points
128. Emma  548
131. Jodie  531
134. Katie S  515

Katie S of course will jump to GB #1 on 570 points if she wins the title.

Will be pretty incredible if Katie can go 13-0 in ITF finals tomorrow, BUT annoyingly for purists, it would break her perfect progression on account of not having an 80k title to her name... ;)

(She has, in perfect order, 2 x 10ks, 2 x 15ks, 6 x 25ks and 2 x 60ks).

Didn't realise just how many titles Swan has picked up. Again if she can just stay injury/illness free maybe she could progress so much more.

I have Katie down in the prediction competition as WTA 80

So if she could just do that (and a tad more), that would be very welcome

Sorry, she gets stuck at WR 84. But that will still be good points for you

It will be a tough match for Katie tomorrow - all the best though, hope she wins in the hope we can get one direct entrant into Wimbledon or are we to late for that?

Too late. The main draw entry list was based on the 22/05 rankings. Only really Jodie in with an outside chance as the initial #9 alt or #8 taking out Emma - as per tennisforum.

A win might open up a wildcard for another British player though?

Ah, yes I believe the Surbiton winner gets a Wimbledon MD WC if not a DE? So Katie winning can deny one for Wickmayer.

I have her at 92, so will be over the moon if she can just make that top 100.  She's my number 2 behind Emma, so "come on Katie".  Best of luck to her for tomorrow.

Yes, I've gone a bit pear-shaped with Emma too - but that wasn't really predictable no

Would be great if we could just get a couple over the line - top-100 would be brill

Definitely think Katie Swan has it in her. No question.

But Yanina was playing well today....

And not sure it will be easy to get going straight away after at Notts (whether she wins or loses)

I wonder if the pressure of securing the British no.1 spot effected her today, especially as she'd never lost to Wickmeyer before. Hoping Swanny can seize her chance and maintain her 100% record in ITF Finals tomorrow.
