Emily A gets the first win of the grasscourt season, 1 and 4 against Freya. A shame she will likely come up against Wickmayer next - other draws were much kinder. Nevertheless will be another new CH.

Emily and Sofia into a third. Emily missed all 6 break points in the opening set and Sofia clung on despite serious serving yips. Emily then lost the set with 3 back to back doubles.

Sofia serving at 6-3 2-6 *1-1

Sofia had far more power but she couldn't get her timing and made far too many errors (a lot of them totally unnecessary as she didn't need to go for so much). She also had a lot of issues with her serve.

Em did her thing, some nice volleys. She was in Paris yesterday so a fairly quick turn around and of course singles not really all that important.

Isabelle is doing very well, but just missed a match point 6-4 *5-5. Her opponent did a decent job on the grass last year from memory.

Doubles draw out. No surprises in teams, but a big all GB match between Harriet/Heather and Lissey/Liv...

Only one wildcard given out, to LJB/Lily and I *think* EWS/Kempen were last in, given on-site acceptance teams can use singles rankings to get in the draw.
