Weeks 22 & 23 - French Open (Roland-Garros) - Paris, France (clay) - DOUBLES

I was convinced that was going to a final set! I think I saw they were 1-5 down in the second!!

Likewise, given the identity & quality of the opposition.  Great turnround in the second set!    Cabal & Farah are now 37 & 36 respectively, so I wonder whether their "powers" are now on the wane.  That said, Jamie's 37 & Michael is 35 & they appear to have been given a new lease of life in tandem!  smile

i think in doubles they are all in their prime, tbh.

Great win for Jamie and Michael, pleased with that one

This could be the end of the line for the boys:

L16:  (13) Jamie Murray & Michael Venus (NZL) CR 35 (28+17) vs (3) Marcelo Arévalo & Jean-Julien Rojer (ESA/NED) CR 12 (6+6)

At least they'll have justified their seeding.

Jamie & Michael beat Arevalo-Rojer in the first round of Rome a couple of weeks back, so there is no cause for alarm :)

I need to go back and check but to get 4 into the last 16 is pretty decent as a showing - someone will tell me we did it last year, but it still feels like a decent start to the event!
