Harriet broke back but was broken from *40-0 and then collapsed like a cheap tent. Lost 10 of the last 11 points to go down 1-6 6-2 6-2

To be honest I wouldn't have been so bothered if she hadn't absolutely dominated the first 50 minutes and wasted so many chances.

Not convinced this was very clever scheduling, and it doesn't allow her to build on last week in any way.

Down for a W60 in Turkey next week. Not sure she would've done any better at a lower level this week given the quick turnaround so may as well take the dosh. According to the ITF she has only won 7 matches on clay in her adult career. Higher win % than on grass but then the grass tournaments would be at a significantly higher level.

Random googling shows that Harriet played far more on Clay as a Junior than any other Brit. Just shy of 50% of her matches were on Clay as a Junior.

It was your comment the other day about juniors limiting their hard court matches that compelled me to check.
