Business end of week one of the 4 week May period is now on us, would you believe it. Those not familiar, anyone can post a nomination at any time, just put the players name (s) and a reason why (Won this, beat that player, achieved this milestone etc etc) and pop it at the end of the existing list, and good to go!

Apologies if I took over the nominations a little bit over the weekend - the Wheelchair event caught my imagination and Andy winning a title is an important achievement - I would probably have nominated George also if CD hadnt done so!!

But I am calmed down now and will let the nominations process un fold in the usual way!!

Remember , nominations will close Sunday 28th May latest. I believe that is day the French in fact starts its main draw, so if the British action is over and done with by Saturday 27th May, I will post the poll then - as early as possible in effect!

I, Bob in Spain, hereby state that any player this month who crosses the rubicon to become the 20th player in the Top 500, will be nominated by me for the PoM vote, even if that player achieves their status with a couple of W/over wins.

so Looks like just Ranah is still in and shouting this week; reach the months half way point today, two weeks left for nominations for May, nominations will close as the FO main draw starts!

Note French qualies DO count towards the May nominations period (as will Wimbledon qaulies in due course for June )
