The main draws are out for the J200 event in Aldershot, including a number of players who have made their mark in last week's Women's ITF in Nottingham

In the boys event Henry Searle is top seed while Charlie Robertson comes in as a wildcard to be seeded 2 Ben Gusic Wan is in Henry's quarter of the draw

In the girls event top seed Hep Oluwadare could meet Given Roach in round 2 while Hannah Klugman is seeded 4

Nice wildcards in the girls, that very much reflect decent performances in the nationals

Lois Newberry; Sarah Copley; Flora Johnson; Jaqui Ogunwale

I'm watching Mika Buchnik (Isreal) on this one. I think she'll be a threat to Hannah, although she's in the opposite part of the draw.

A disappointing result for Heph, who goes out in three sets to Laima Vladson of Lithuania. Ellie Blackford and Ruby Cooling won their first round matches.

In the boys, Henry Searle, Ben Gusic Wan, Phoenix Weir, Luca Pow, Viktor Frydrych, Luca Bluett, and Charlie Robertson were winners. A new name in the draw for me is Martino Colabella, who is partnering Kyle Mckay in the doubles.

I didn't expect Black to get through qualifying but she had a good comeback win against Loftus in the FQR, so well done to her.

I believe Sorska is one of the Ukrainian players who is now living and training at Bisham Abbey. It will be interesting to see if she proves to be something of a surprise in the main draw. She is obviously under-ranked at 1881 in the world, having enjoyed three straight sets wins in qualies, and taking out both the 7th and 2nd seeds. But unfortunately for her she is on a collision course with Klugman by the QF stage...

Brooke is a bit if an enigma. Sometimes she looks like the best player in the tournament and then she will go and lose heavily to an average player.

Just had a look at Sorska's scores in the qualies....did very well against quite a few good players.  Should be interesting.

Henry Searle and Charlie Robertson had quite close calls against lesser heralded GB boys in their openers

its just girls. when they had like trials for it with over 25 players coming over they didnt feel like any of the boys were at a high enough standard to give them anything. they did have 4 girls for a while but one was on a trial basis and I dont think she carried on

Somewhat strange that Hannah is playing doubles with a Polish girl

I wonder if she and Hep fell out a bit? Or if she was going to play with Hep and then Hep withdrew (she's not in the draw) and Hannah picked up pretty much anyone who was hanging around without a partner?

They won the U16 doubles, then didn't play together in U18s (which sort of made some sense, mix it up, but overall seemed weird to me, given they play together so well/often and you'd have thought it was all training for Junior Wimbly). But, again, maybe Hep's slightly injured or something and withdrew.

Mind you, Mika is playing with an American girl too.

Generally I like our adult players playing with non-Brits - I think it's far better for sharing skills, info, spreading your net, having stronger contacts for when you go travelling, all that....

But in junior events, before Grand Slams, when you get nationalities playing together....

I don't understand.....
