Looks like Boulter won't be playing French Open Quals, but surely Jodie will?

Is it not possible Jodie might get into Rome quails this week?

If she's entered Rome qualies she should be in from the initial cut. That she is still in Japan ITF may be because she didn't get around to withdrawing from ITFs or it may be because she didn't enter Rome qualifying, although I'd be surprised if she didn't given she entered the main draw.

I think it highly unlikely Jodie will be going to Japan. She's confirmed for the 125s in Saint Malo the week before and Paris the week after.

I don't think anyone can do that though, from a financial point of view

I thought they just could no longer do what Katie B did one year at RG?  Which is withdraw late and collect a pay cheque. Jack would get any necessary WC during grass to make up for it.

No, I mean there's a strong financial incentive to turn up and play R1, even poorly.

And I don't think the grass wildcards 'make up for it', so to speak - it's very difficult to turn that sort of money down even if you know some more is coming. If he's properly injured, he won't and absolutely shouldn't, of course. But I expect to see him there......

To stop what Katie did they put in a restriction that they had to have played in the previous 3 weeks to be able to still receive prize money for a late on site withdrawal.
