A win here would make Ali and Freya wr110, only 76 points below the top 100, meaning another 60k title might be just enough to crack it.

could freya and Ali put pressure on Liv and lissey for top British pair in the next few months ?

An interesting question. From Coric live rankings:-

Freya is on 666 points, and doesn't drop any counters until August, so can only improvr.

Lissey is on 1075 points, but has loads to defend before the end of August, including a 280 a 140 and a 90, so could easily fall back. But a few wins on the grass courts would change all that.

Play starting today at 10am with the singles quarter-finals carried over from yesterday.

Thanks TA - I rely on you and Indy to know these things! So in fact it could get interesting but obviously liv and lissey are playing at a higher event level so presumably can pick more up so should remain favourites to stay at the top
