Week 13 - WTA125 - San Luis Potosi Open, Mexico - Clay

As PaulM says, stayimg there is not so hard once you have the ranking to get you in. This week a first round win was worth 29 points, which would have been non-counters for both Lissey and Liv. They would need to reach the final to improve. They both have points dropping in April - Lissey has an 80 and a 110, but has a 60 and two 50's in reserve. It'll only take a couple of decent wins to cover that. Liv is in a worse position though, with no decent counters in reserve. The big drop may happen in August, but they should be able to maintain their rankings until then.

Unfortunately they have missed out three times in Mexico.

Yes, even without winning a match both Lissey and Olivia ( could be tight for Olivia ) should at least remain top 100 to the end of July ( Lissey 896 points, Olivia 778 points  not allowing for any 10 pointers for R1 losses in Slams )..

August indeed sees very big points drops ( 140 plus 280 for both ) and with Freya & Ali having no counters due off until August and then much less due off in August, projected rankings for the end of August would currently have Freya and Ali ahead of Lissey and Olivia.

Hopefully though all four will actually be adding in a healthy quota of points in the next few months, with in particular Lissey and Olivia having many more end of July points than the above theoretical minimums.
