Following their one point cameo appearance earlier, it is not currently going too well in Julian+'s QF.

Down 5-7 *1-3

that earlier "match" must have tired them out

Nonetheless, Julian is now 56 live ranked. Julian and Henry will have a joint ranking of 120 ish now, well placed for RG and Wimbledon, and US Open, appearances and some decent money. Queens and Eastbourne probably will be on their calendar and they will earn good money and points in the months ahead

QF:  Enzo Couacaud (FRA) WR 194 (CH = 155 in February last year) vs Jan Choinski WR 220

Unusual group of players left at this stage in singles. There are no seeds in, Jan and Enzo are the only DAs left in the draw, All the others are qualifiers, alts or WCs.

And Jan is second favourite on Tennis Abstract, behind former Ilkley winner Koepfer

Player SF F W
(Q)Federico Gaio (ITA)19.5% 9.1% 4.1%
(Q)Dominik Koepfer (GER) 80.5% 63.0% 48.5%
Antoine Bellier (SUI) 0.0% 0.0% 0.0%
(Q)Maximilian Neuchrist (AUT) 100.0% 27.8% 13.5%
(Alt)Thiago Agustin Tirante (ARG) 48.4% 18.3% 5.0%
Nicolas Mejia (COL) 51.6% 20.2% 5.8%
Enzo Couacaud (FRA) 44.5% 26.0% 9.1%
Jan Choinski (GBR) 55.5% 35.5% 14.0%

Jan favoured to beat the French cha, then to beat Mejia (who played DC against us recently) and then Koepfer is favourite

No messing. Welcome to the top 200, Jan

And yes, he can go much higher yet this week if he was to exchange his 45 SF points for 125 title points, with as miriam points out on paper a less than daunting looking remaining field.

Koepfer anywhere near his best certainly does look the biggest obstacle. But I would have thought Jan would currently have more chances vs Koepfer than the tennisabstract figures indicate.

So much for Jan facing off against Mejía in the semi:

SF:  (ALT) Thiago Agustín Tirante (ARG) WR 234 (CH = 161 last August) vs Jan Choinski WR 220

The Argentine actually saw off Bernard Tomic, admittedly in the draw as a wild card, in the first round...

Jan , two qualifiers and an alternate left although Koepfer is probably the best player , been injured for a little while.
