Further posts followed too and fro from orhers, partly because even then it was clear that some forum members were getting tired of such holiday / hobby type posts and did feel them to be derogatory

I believe Jaggy in more recent years has often been complimentary about Beth.

 I should like to also thank Indiana for confirming my view that this Jaggy individual has, now for at least 6 years, been making deeply unpleasant remarks about full-time tennis players and now about fellow posters.

 The first unpleasant comment in this disjointed chain came from you when you implied that a top 600 British tennis player was playing as a hobby. It is now clear that you have been making these sorts of comments for over six years. It is you who said that you would make no more comments on the matter...and then proceeded to do so. It is also you who commenced a private message conversation with me with an insult.  You are in no position to state that I should quit!!
