Yasmina keeps trying and the results aren't improving....
I remember seeing her some time ago and she was not at the level to be playing on tour, yet she still persists.

As I alluded go on another thread and got a snidey comment from Telstar there are plenty of people who have the opportunity usually from their family background to lift a racket who are never going to win anything. Tennis is a good way of keeping fit and if the chance is there then why not I suppose.

Yasmina also lost, retiring in the second set at 2-2, having won the first set

Rare to retire like that, so hope she's OK ....

Looks like Yasmina has other career aspirations and perhaps just plays tennis for fun more than trying to make a living from it?

2022 article so no idea if she is now a pilot.

Yes well done Harrygem, maybe I will get an apology from Telstar now for his character assassination of my good self for perfectly logical questions that in no way were derogatory as he put it. Got to admit never heard the words hobby or playing for fun or to keep fit described in such a way.

Of course they are derogatory when applied to full-time players like Emilie Lindh. As I recall in the early stages of her career you also once referred to Beth Grey (when she was playing in Thailand) as being on a backpacking holiday. No apology forthcoming from me especially as you stated that you wouldn't say anymore on the matter.

Dont think you have the right player there at all. What we have learned is you are an extremely sad and bitter individual Telstar.

From the 2017 Week 18 - Hua Hin, Thailand 15K thread, Jaggy responded to the addict in respect of Beth.

"the addict wrote:
The point from that match will count, but unfortunately she has 2 dropping off next Monday.
But the next round is certainly a winnable match
--------
I think it's just a wee bonus to be playing another round on the holiday in Thailand, I don't think points other than having a ranking matter when you are part time for fun."

Further posts followed too and fro from orhers, partly because even then it was clear that some forum members were getting tired of such holiday / hobby type posts and did feel them to be derogatory

I believe Jaggy in more recent years has often been complimentary about Beth.
