Eliz and Lauryn were 8-6 up in the MTB

And then Lauryn had a complete rush of blood to the head

Took a ball that was going well out

Didn't put the smash away, it came back, easy smash, she went for a dinky angle, missed it.

And then they lost the next three points - and the match :(

(Not really pointing the finger, though, Lauryn plays a good game of doubles, she's more suited to it than Eliz, but it was a real shame....)

A disappointing pair of tournaments for them both and Danielle in Pretoria. I think they have struggled to adapt to the heat and altitude.

Yes, this reminds me a bit of players heading to India to vulture some easy Futures points and then wilting under the sun. Shame.

Alina Korneva, age 15, winner of the Aussie Open Juniors this year, and now ranked about WTA 500, has made the semis here, and counting

As David pointed out, Hannah took a set off her in their last match, in a real scrap

And the 15 year-old (born in 2007) has gone on to take the title
