Oh well all British interest at an end for this year.

In the singles:  three men (playing with non-British partners) still left in the doubles.

Sorry I should have added I don't include the doubles, that's a form of tennis I just cannot watch.

Incidentally I tried to join in the 'Predictions' thread but I couldn't find a way in for my prediction which is that  the US Open will be relieved of ranking points for banning  Novak Djokovic from this year's tournament.

When you click in the predictions section, youll see top right a button saying Start a new topic. Click that and it allows you to create - give the topic a title (eg what you wrote ) and then add a post with your narrative on it and just post it.

but what makes you say he will get banned and why? The us non vaccine ban is being lifted by May isnt it?

Wes and Neal lost their final, 10-8 in the MTB.

One thing I dont like is tour finals being decided in match tie breaks - too important for a crap shoot.

But third-sets are decided in a tie-break

That's a pure crap shoot too (if you think tie-breaks are crap shoots)

There's no instrinsic difference

isnt that argument the same as saying lets decide the whole thing at the start with a match tie break? At least with a third set tie break youve got the whole set to try and win the final set normally.

I'm just saying that tie-breaks (all tie-breaks) are instrinsically the same

They all are a 'fix' to the same problem

All a 'crap-shoot', if you like

So, assuming you have them in the first place, when and where you have them is just a finessing exercise

For me, the MTB is about the only bit I watch but hey.....
