Gauff maybe might have been ranked 4 or 5 Aus Open?

Emma has also already played Iga last year, on indoor European clay as I recall.

Brilliant Emma! I rate that win far above any she won at the USO, she had to dig deep and fight! Her game looks far stronger than it was before, and her stamina / speed seems to have improved too. Proper chuffed for her

Oh my goodness. That match had everything and so impressed by Emma using her head and talent to get past Beatrix. It had fun too
- I loved the smash, smash, smash, pass

Great to see Emma playing so well again, especially at Indian Wells where she initially struggled after her US Open win.

As an aside, Harriet has played and beaten Haddad Maia 3 times. She needs to look at how Haddad Maia scheduled her tournaments to get to WR 13 (or did she have some luck)
