That was an easy win - dipped in and out of a bit of that.

And that's a WTA dubs point for Sofia, yes?

Should be 9 for a doubles win in a 25K. Qne more for a ranking. biggrin

Seriously? I'm the world's worst at points, especially doubles points - I even looked it up !

Well, even better biggrin

Yes, 1 doubles ranking point for losing in R1/L16 of a W25. 9 points for winning

( when the WTA rankings stopped giving W25 singles R1 losers a point they carried right on giving doubles R1 losers a point ).

She gets 1 for just being in the draw. 9 points for a W25 first round doubles win - into the QFs. Another win would give her 18.

 Thanks, Strongbow and Indy

I feel like the goldfish - oh, a castle.... oh, a castle....nobiggrin

But, really, that's a lot of points for one win !

Anyway, whatever, and if Sofia comes over to the UK for summer, there's a very good chance she'll get a widcard or two (she did last year, although was still a junior which might have helped). So she might have quite a nice doubles ranking, at leasy, by the end of it...

R1: MURGETT, Bronte (GBR) Q UNR =CH v Yu, Eleana (USA) 695(CH=646 2023)

I can imagine a few conversations around Bronte's next opponent on the lines of:
Who are you playing next?
I'm playing Yu.
Your playing me?
No I'm playing Yu.
or
Who are you playing next?
That's not correct, you should say "who IS Yu playing next. Yu is playing me next."
Pardon?

You might have missed that Hu was in singles and doubles ?

Hu, are you playing next?

Yes, in about 15 minutes.

It's all getting far too confusing!
