Erika is really rather slight, but hits a big ball. Harriet's serve leaving her very vulnerable.

Six breaks to open

3-3*

Erika is 18, got up to #11 in juniors.
She's also the older sister of Mirra (born 2007) who has already made top-300 WTA (and is #2 or so in juniors, despite having nearly three more years of juniors to play)

Harriet misses 2 break points and Andreeva gets the first hold and looks the better player in the early exchanges.

*3-4

Andreeva showing wonderful shots whilst Harriet is frustrated and not able to counter.

Harriet has the shots just needs to calm down and play as she knows she can.

Andreeva should have broken at *4-5 but missed some basic returns then played a terrible game to allow Harriet to break to love.

But despite a horrendous overhead the Russian breaks to 30 and it's a tiebreak.

That tiebreak was absolutely horrendous (from both).

Harriet has played far better than this this year (and still lost, to be fair). It wouldn't take a big increase in level to turn this around but her body language doesn't fill me with hope the come back is on.

Got the break for *4-2 and immediately lost it. But broke again from 0-30* and will get the chance to serve for this set too.

*5-3

Feels like Harriet has settled down now. 1 set all and a break in the 3rd set (not that that seems to mean anything)

Andreeva holds a long game with a net cord. The Russian seems to have lost all confidence taking balls out the air, made so many howlers today.

*2-1

So having missed a chance for *3-0, Harriet now gets broken from *30-0.

2-2*

From 0-30* to break point, saved with a bold serve and volley. Couple of deuces later she gets another chance and Andreeva goes long.

*3-2

Andreeva holds. Then comes out on top of a brutal point at *30-30, Harriet finds a decent serve to save it, but a weak backhand gives the Russian a second chance. Saves it after a successful challenge, gets a cheap return error for a game point, and a wild forehand gives her the game.

5-3*
