Week 6 - ITF W25 - Bath, Great Britain Hard

Not a foot wrong from Alice from *2-5 down in the MTB to win it 10-7. Great win.

Really super win from Alice - I enjoyed that....

She was 1-5 down (or mayeb 2-5 down) in the MTB (having lost the second easily)

And then suddenly won a whole heap of points on the trot - got up to 8-5 - lost the next two - now 8-7 - a really long good-quality point which Alice won, and deservedly so - and the other girl made a fault on the first match point

Well done, Alice

ANd thoroughly enjoyed that win from Marni too (especially when the stream behaved itself)

Some super down the line forehands from Marni

Dealt well with the moonballs

And Nato didn't play well in the last game - a rather doddy volley miss, a double fault and then Marni got a lucky let cord....

All good

Yeah Marni's first event of the year and she shouldn't have any issues coming through (sorry Em).

Dani is the other name who could have made the draw but isn't there but I think Emily, Talia, Jasmine and Ranah are the most likely wild card recipients.

You picked them PaulM - Dani does indeed get a WC

Given we're the top seed, and our women have avoided the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seeds (as well as the 6th and 7th), that's a pretty good draw.

Ah, yes, sorry, I forgot ...smile

Meanwhile, your Anna Brogan is giving the French girl a good run around

Took the first set 6-4 - but it's tight

Emily App also took the first set off Maia, but Maia is not 3-0 up in the second

Danielle lost 2-6 2-6
