Han certainly has an - er - 'interesting' technique.....

The two-handed forehand, the service throw up - it's all highly individual, at best

Heather led *3-0 second set, ended up 3-5* down. Has just broken.

*4-5

Had a couple of chances in that game but Han eventually holds. Has she hit anything other than a slice serve out wide on the ad-side?

*5-6

Usual story: when Hev hits the ball she dominates, as soon as she gets tentative and starts patting it she either pushes long or is a sitting duck.

A predictably ugly game to lose the set. Han did play better but Hev, you were a double break up...

6-3 5-7 0-0*

I haven't seen Hev come to the net once - and they're have been some points where it was begging for it

She's playing quite well - but she's ending up in more bother than she needs to be - and Hev's brain sometimes turns to porridge .....

Han does well to save a break point, but a poor backhand return from Hev to lose the game.

*4-3

Was a big chance.

Saves 3 break points but not a fourth and the body language is not good. Han does move very well.

4-4*

Hev balloons a high smash but still gets 2 break points. Moonballs long on the first, second is well saved. Does well to save a couple of game points, breaks.

*5-4

Both girls now look to be running on fumes. Han looks a little close to cramping to me, but she's defending really well still, great feel.

Well done Hev. Han made a couple of errors in the final game but she did very well to get to the drop shot and dink it away with a slice to take the match. Lovely embrace at the net between the two as well.

I'll be astonished if she's anything left to give against Wang tomorrow, but how great to see her in a quarter final at this level again.

Nice hug at the end there too. Feel the crowd were a little disrespectful to Han at times, cheering double faults etc. Good win, over the line.
