Week 3 - Australian Open Grand Slam - Melbourne, Australia Hard

So Azerenka is through to the SF and could well go further. Last August she played Emma and lost 0-6 2-6, just after Emma had beaten Serena 6-4 6-0.

Rybakina beats Azarenka 7-6 6-3 to make the final, great way to back up her Wimbledon win. She definitely deserves to be a top 10 player, I personally don't find her exciting but 2 slam finals in under 12 months is huge consistency on the women's side.

Yes, although didn't she lose in the very first round in the US Open?

I like her.....and I love the fact that the Russian federation thought she was rubbish and wouldn't support her so she had to go and find another flag to play for

The one that slipped through the net, hey, Russia?

Makes me smile smile

HA! She did indeed, but at least she's backing up her slam title. And I think she has the game to consistently be at the top. One of the biggest serves on tour, big groundies and pretty decent movement considering her height. I'm still living in hope that there'll be some exciting rivalries at the top of the women's game in the next few years.
